Fabric Depot already had great follower counts across their social channels, but a lack of engagement meant their posts were only being shown to a small fraction of their subscribers. They needed something re-engage their community and set them apart from their competition. What better way than creating content sewists couldn’t help but share!
To boost overall reach and engagement organically and establish the brand as humorous voice in the industry, I utilized meme marketing content. To align with Fabric Depot’s mission to be a resource to the sewing and quilting community, all the memes needed to be unique to the brand. So, it was time to get my meme on!
From the jump, the campaign was a hit (most posts becoming the top performers in brand history). The posts saw over 6x our average reach and engagement. The effects were lasting too, immediately doubling overall engagement averages. The content also increased employee advocacy and attracted accolades from distributor and industry partners.
